The Evening Hour 2020
An empathetic portrait of economic decline and spiritual redemption in a rural American mining town where the drug trade has become part of the social. Set in a small West Virginia mining town nestled in the foothills of Appalachia, THE EVENING HOUR tells the story of a small-time drug dealer, Cole Freeman, who is driven to action and redemption in response to a set of unexpected circumstances. This snapshot of life in a tapped-out Appalachian mining town holds the attention, even if it doesn't quite maximize potential as either melodrama or character piece.
